Active Elk River.com The new Active Elk River microsite is now on line. We also have printed materials and a mailing will be going out soon to all residents. A Power Point will be presented to the Commission at the October 3 meeting. An advocacy group has registered with the state and has a steering committee structure in place. Senior Center Facility Location Tom Betti of 292 Design, Council Member Jennifer Wagner and staff presented the senior programming space plans to two groups at the Activity Center. The first meeting, September 13, had about 40 people, the second meeting,about 25. There many tough questions and some ongoing attempts to scuttle the plan with intricate details such as where will the handicapped parking spaces be located, how far do we have to go to get copies made,where will the RSVP office and staff offices be, etc.. In all, staff feels we made some good inroads. Many of the seniors seem open and positive with the changes. City Communications Report Attached is the communications report for August. This is a new monthly report that our Senior Communications Coordinator Kaylin Clement has developed. One thing to note is the Riverfront Concert Series was the most visited webpage in August.
