Call Meeting To Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Board of Appeal and <br />Equalization was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Acting Mayor Dietz. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Board of Appeal and Equalization <br /> <br />Sherburne County Assessor Jerry Kritzeck indicated that the purpose of the Board of <br />Appeal and Equalization is to consider and review 2005 estimated market values and <br />property classifications. <br /> <br />Mr. Kritzeck introduced his staff consisting of Residential Appraisers Roger Holmgren and <br />Greg Olson, Agricultural Appraiser Jeanne Henderson, Commercial Appraiser William Riley, <br />and Office Staff Theresa Quinn. <br /> <br />Mr. Olson presented information on the assessment procedures and statistics for the 2005 <br />City of Elk River assessments. <br /> <br />The Council then reviewed concerns from individual property owners. <br /> <br />1. Marl Larson, Parcel Identification Number 75-503-0490 <br /> <br />Ms. Larson lives across from The Elk Ridge Center and stated that the property across from <br />her has only dirt piles and had been rezoned since she moved to her home in November of <br />2003. She stated that property values have gone down and that her value had been raised by <br />$24,000. She is asking that her value stay at last year's value until the development across <br />from her is completed. <br /> <br />Appraiser Holmgren stated that the properties adjacent to this development were reduced by <br />5 percent. <br /> <br />Assessor Kritzeck recommended the property value to stay the same. <br />
