Present Were: George Zabee President James Tralle Vice Chairman James Simpson Trustee Others present: Bill Birrenkott General Manager Glenn Sundeen Pat Klaers City Administrator 1) The meeting was called to order at 4 : 00 P.M. by President Zabee. 2) Motion by Mr. Simpson seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the agenda. The motion carried. 3) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Simpson to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as distributed. The motion carried with Mr. Tralle abstaining. 4) The General Manager presented the Commissioners with a memo regarding a customer who had been shut off for non-payment. The Commissioners decided to take no action. 5) The Commission was presented with a list of the recommended locations for street lights to be added this fiscal year. The list was compiled by the Lighting Committee, with Tom Zerwas serving as Chairman. Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to participate in 50% of the cost of the addition of two additional street lights to be installed in the Westwood subdivision. The motion carried. 6) Pat Klaers, the City Administrator, informed the Commissioners the City Council had agreed to fund another light at the entrance to the Ridgewood Subdivision. This information required no action on the part of the Commission. 7) The funding of future water towers was discussed with the City Administrator. Many options were considered and the Commissioners agreed to study the options and consider possible solutions at future meetings. 8) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle, to donate the electricity for the softball field lighting and concessions for a period of five years starting now. The motion carried. 9) The General Manager presented the Commissioners with a proposal for a new government rate available to Municipalities. Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle, to install this rate effective immediately and to become a part of the minutes. The motion carried.
