-(1 <br /> ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> 322 King Avenue <br /> Elk River, Minnesota 55330 <br /> Phone (612) 441-2020 <br /> UTILITIES COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> May 5, 1992 <br /> 4 : 00 P.M. <br /> Present Were: George Zabee President <br /> James Simpson Trustee <br /> Bill Birrenkott General Manager <br /> Absent was: James Tralle Vice Chairman <br /> Others Present: Glenn Sundeen <br /> Bob McCartney <br /> Noel Vogen <br /> Wade Lovelette <br /> Mike Thiry <br /> 1) The meeting was called to order at 4 : 00 P.M. by President Zabee. <br /> 2) Motion by Mr. Simpson seconded by Mr. Zabee to approve the agenda. <br /> The motion carried. <br /> 3) Motion by Mr. Zabee seconded by Mr. Simpson to approve the <br /> minutes of the previous meeting as distributed. The motion <br /> carried. <br /> 4) Noel Vogen of Associated Consultants presented the Commissioners <br /> with a summary of the bids received for the new building for the <br /> well and treatment at the old City Hall site. Motion by Mr. <br /> Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee to award the contract to the low <br /> bidder, Lunn Construction in the amount of $81, 550. The motion <br /> carried. <br /> 5) The General Manager presented the Commissioners with a report from <br /> Maier-Stewart with several opportunities and methods for treatment <br /> at the new well at the new City Hall site. More information will <br /> be presented at future meetings. <br /> 6) Wade Lovelette and Mike Thiry, representing the outside workers <br /> appeared before the Commission to discuss wages and benefits for <br /> the upcoming year. Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee <br /> to increase the pay for the outside workers by 3 . 14% effective <br /> June 1st of this year. The Motion carried. <br /> 7) The 1991 financials along with audit, as prepared by Olson, <br /> Thielen & Co. , LTD were presented to the Commissioners by the <br /> General Manager. Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee to <br /> receive and file the December 31, 1991 audit as presented. The <br /> motion carried. <br />
