ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> 322 King Avenue <br /> Elk River, Minnesota 55330 <br /> Phone (612) 441-2020 <br /> UTILITIES COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> February 11, 1992 <br /> 4 : 30 P.M. <br /> Present Were: George Zabee President <br /> James Tralle Vice Chairman <br /> James Simpson Trustee <br /> Bill Birrenkott General Manager <br /> Others Present: Glenn Sundeen <br /> Bob McCartney <br /> Terry Maurer <br /> 1) The meeting was called to order at 4 : 30 P.M. by President Zabee. <br /> 2) Motion by Mr. Tralle seconded by Mr. Simpson to approve the <br /> agenda. The motion carried. <br /> 3) Motion by Mr. Tralle seconded by Mr. Simpson to approve the <br /> minutes of the previous meetings as distributed. The motion <br /> carried. <br /> 4) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Simpson to request the City <br /> Council to pass an ordinance allowing an assessment to property <br /> for uncollectable revenues for services for electricity and water. <br /> The Motion carried. <br /> 5) Two invoices from A. N. Johnson to property owners were discussed <br /> P P Y <br /> with the idea of the Utilities helping to collect these revenues. <br /> The Commissioners decided to take no action at this time. <br /> 6) Terry Maurer of Maier-Stewart proposed that the Utilities update <br /> the Comprehensive Water Plan originally done in 1982 . The General <br /> Manager was instructed to meet with Terry and define the scope and <br /> cost of the study and report back to the Commission with a <br /> recommendation. <br /> 7) The General Manager reviewed the status of the Anoka Electric <br /> Territory acquisition with the Commissioners. <br /> 8) The Line Superintendent reported on the status of construction <br /> projects and other operating conditions. <br /> 9) The General Manager reviewed the preliminary 1991 financial <br /> statements with the Commissioners. <br /> 10) The next meeting was set for Tuesday, March 17, 1992 at 4 : 30 P.M. <br /> at the Utilities office. <br />
