ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES 322 King Avenue Elk River, Minnesota 55330 Phone (612) 441-2020 UTILITIES COMMISSION MINUTES February 11, 1992 4 : 30 P.M. Present Were: George Zabee President James Tralle Vice Chairman James Simpson Trustee Bill Birrenkott General Manager Others Present: Glenn Sundeen Bob McCartney Terry Maurer 1) The meeting was called to order at 4 : 30 P.M. by President Zabee. 2) Motion by Mr. Tralle seconded by Mr. Simpson to approve the agenda. The motion carried. 3) Motion by Mr. Tralle seconded by Mr. Simpson to approve the minutes of the previous meetings as distributed. The motion carried. 4) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Simpson to request the City Council to pass an ordinance allowing an assessment to property for uncollectable revenues for services for electricity and water. The Motion carried. 5) Two invoices from A. N. Johnson to property owners were discussed P P Y with the idea of the Utilities helping to collect these revenues. The Commissioners decided to take no action at this time. 6) Terry Maurer of Maier-Stewart proposed that the Utilities update the Comprehensive Water Plan originally done in 1982 . The General Manager was instructed to meet with Terry and define the scope and cost of the study and report back to the Commission with a recommendation. 7) The General Manager reviewed the status of the Anoka Electric Territory acquisition with the Commissioners. 8) The Line Superintendent reported on the status of construction projects and other operating conditions. 9) The General Manager reviewed the preliminary 1991 financial statements with the Commissioners. 10) The next meeting was set for Tuesday, March 17, 1992 at 4 : 30 P.M. at the Utilities office.
