A <br /> ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> AY 322 King Avenue <br /> Elk River, Minnesota 55330 <br /> Phone (612) 441-2020 <br /> UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> April 1, 1991 <br /> 4: 00 P.M. <br /> Present Were: Jim Simpson President <br /> James Tralle Vice Chairman <br /> George Zabee Trustee <br /> Bill Birrenkott General Manager <br /> Others Present: Glenn Sundeen <br /> 1) The meeting was called to order at 4: 00 P.M. by President Simpson. <br /> 2) Motion by Mr. Zabee seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the agenda. <br /> The motion carried. <br /> 3) Motion by Mr. Tralle seconded by Mr. Zabee to approve the minutes <br /> of the previous meeting as distributed. The motion carried. <br /> 4) The General Manager reported that specifications for the removal <br /> of two 30, 000 gallon tanks and the installation of two 15, 000 <br /> gallon tanks at the power plant have been completed and <br /> advertising has been started. Bid openings have been scheduled <br /> for Friday April 19, 1991 at 4 : 00 P.M. at the Utilities office. <br /> 5) It was reported that Bill and Glenn appeared before the Planning <br /> Commission on March 26, 1991 for a conditional use permit for the <br /> construction of a cold storage building. The planning commission <br /> recommended approval of the permit. It is scheduled to go before <br /> the City Council on April 15. <br /> 6) A report by Minnesota Conway on the status of the Home Security <br /> Systems was presented and discussed in detail. Motion by Mr. <br /> Tralle, seconded by Mr. Zabee to terminate our arrangement with <br /> the present salesman. The motion carried. <br /> 7) The General Manager reported on the status of the Anoka Electric <br /> Cooperative agreement. The agreement will be presented to the <br /> Public Utilities Commission next week. <br /> 8) The Line Superintendent reported on the status of construction <br /> projects and other operating conditions. <br /> 9) The General Manager reviewed the January and February financial <br /> reports with the Commissioners. <br /> 10) Motion by Mr. Tralle to join the Great Lakes Consumers <br /> Association. The motion carried. <br /> 11) The next meeting was set for Monday May 6, 1991 at 4: 00 P.M. <br /> at the Power Plant. <br />
