ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> 322 King Avenue <br /> Elk River, Minnesota 55330 <br /> Phone (612) 441-2020 <br /> • <br /> UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> October 1, 1990 <br /> 4:00 P.M. <br /> Present Were: George Zabee President <br /> Jim Simpson Vice Chairman <br /> James Tralle Trustee <br /> Bill Birrenkott General Manager <br /> Others Present: Roger Holmgren <br /> Glenn Sundeen Line Superintendent <br /> Andy Shea <br /> 1) The meeting was called to order at 4: 00 P.M. by President Zabee. <br /> 2) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the <br /> Agenda. Motion carried. <br /> 3) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the <br /> minutes of the previous meeting as presented and distributed. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 4) Residency requirements for the linemen who stand after hours duty <br /> were discussed. Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to <br /> adopt the following rules: <br /> a. ) Those who stand after hours duty : <br /> Must live within 5 miles of the Power Plant or within the <br /> City Limits of Elk River. They also must live in an area <br /> that has telephone service on the Metro Exchange. <br /> b. ) Exceptions to this rule will be heard by applying to the <br /> Commission and will be heard at a regularly scheduled <br /> meeting. <br /> The motion carried. <br /> 5) Andy Shea reviewed the draft agreement between Anoka Electric <br /> Cooperative and Elk River Municipal Utilities. The General <br /> Manager was instructed to work with Mr. Shea and Rick Newland of <br /> Anoka Electric to bring the negotiations to a conclusion. <br /> 6) The Line Superintendent reviewed the status of all projects and <br /> operating conditions with the Commissioners. <br /> 7) The General Manager reviewed the September Financial statements <br /> with the Commissioners. <br /> 8) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to have the General <br /> Manager obtain bids for black-top for the Power Plant. The motion <br /> carried. <br />
