ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> 322 King Avenue <br /> Elk River, Minnesota 55330 <br /> Phone (612) 441-2020 <br /> UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> September 11, 1990 <br /> 4 : 00 P.M. <br /> Present Were: George Zabee President <br /> Jim Simpson Vice Chairman <br /> James Tralle Trustee <br /> Bill Birrenkott General Manager <br /> Others Present: Linda Parr Rons Foods <br /> Glenn Sundeen Line Superintendent <br /> 1) The meeting was called to order at 4: 00 P.M. by President Zabee. <br /> 2) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the <br /> Agenda. Motion carried. <br /> 3) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the <br /> minutes of the previous meeting as presented and distributed. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 4) The meter mix-up at the Sherburne Lodge was discussed and analyzed <br /> and it was decided to do no additional billing at this time. <br /> 5) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Simpson to pay those linemen <br /> working as Lead Linemen a bonus pay of 40 cents per hour for those <br /> hours worked in the Lead Lineman capacity. Motion carried. <br /> 6) Motion by Mr. Simpson seconded by Mr. Tralle to hire Steve Nordahl <br /> in the position of Home Security Installer/Assistant Plant <br /> Operator with a pay range of $7.50 - $14. 40 per hour. Motion <br /> Carried. <br /> 7) The General Manager reported the following bids were received on <br /> the new bucket truck: <br /> Truck Utilities $88,943 . 00 <br /> RMS $92 , 868 . 20 <br /> LZ Company (did not meet specs) $82 , 597 . 00 <br /> Altec $69,412 . 00 <br /> Motion by Mr. Tralle to award a purchase order to Altec in the <br /> amount of $69, 412 for the specified equipment. Motion Carried. <br /> 8) The Line Superintendent reviewed the status of all projects and <br /> operating conditions with the Commissioners. <br />
