UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> May 8, 1990 <br /> Tuesday 7: 00 P.M. <br /> Present Were: George Zabee President <br /> Jim Simpson Vice Chairman <br /> James Tralle Trustee <br /> Bill Birrenkott General Manager <br /> Others Present: Glenn Sundeen Line Superintendent <br /> Ray Menard Minnesota Conway <br /> 1) The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by President <br /> Zabee. <br /> 2) Motion by Mr . Tralle, seconded by Mr . Simpson to approve the <br /> agenda. Motion carried. <br /> 3) Motion by Mr . Simpson, seconded by Mr . Tralle to approve the <br /> minutes of the previous meeting as presented and <br /> distributed . The motion carried . <br /> 4) Ray Menard, of Minnesota Conway, presented a plan of action <br /> for the marketing of Home Security systems and the staff, <br /> and monetary requirements. The Commissioners directed the <br /> staff, in conjunction with Ray to proceed with the <br /> advertising campaign. <br /> 5) Motion by Mr . Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to make the <br /> following adjustments in the employment agreement effective <br /> June 1, 1990. Wages for all outside workers to be changed <br /> to the following schedule: <br /> Power Plant Foreman $ 15.84 <br /> Plant Operator/Groundman 14 .86 <br /> Water Serviceman/Groundman 14. 48 <br /> Lead Lineman 19 .03 <br /> Lineman 18 .12 <br /> 6) The Line Superintendent reviewed the status of construction <br /> and operations with the Commissioners . <br /> 7) The General Manager reviewed the April financial statements <br /> with the Commissioners . <br /> 8) The General Manager reported that the American Public Power <br /> Association has selected the Elk River Utilities "Power <br /> Manager" software to become their nationwide model and it <br /> will be marketed that way. <br /> 9) Motion by Mr . Zabee, seconded by Mr, Tralle to recognize <br /> Bill Birrenkott for his selection as the National Chairman <br /> of the "Power Manager Users Group" . Motion carried . <br />
