COMMISSION MEETING <br /> May 9, 1989 <br /> Tuesday 7 :00 P.M. <br /> Present Were: James Tralle President <br /> George Zabee Vice Chairman <br /> Jim Simpson Trustee <br /> Bill Birrenkott General Manager <br /> Others Present: Glenn Sundeen Line Superintendent <br /> 1) The meeting was called to order at 7 : 00 P.M. by President Tralle. <br /> 2) Motion by Mr . Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the <br /> minutes of the previous meeting as presented and distributed. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 3) Motion by Mr . Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee to make the <br /> following adjustments in the employment agreement effective <br /> June 1, 1989: <br /> 1. Wages for all outside workers to be changed to the <br /> following schedule: <br /> Power Plant Foreman $ 14. 94 <br /> Plant Operator/Groundman 14.02 <br /> Water Serviceman/Groundman 13.66 <br /> Water Foreman/Meterman 15.79 <br /> Lead Lineman 17 . 69 <br /> Lineman 17 .09 <br /> 2. Increase the Utility contribution for medical insurance to <br /> 94% of the company premium. <br /> 3 . Increase the payoff for unused sick pay to a maximum of <br /> 40% of 100 days . <br /> 4 . The Utilities will accrue vacation monthly at the present <br /> schedule. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 4) Motion by Mr. Zabee, seconded by Mr . Simpson to authorize the <br /> removal of the two oldest fuel tanks to be in compliance with the <br /> new EPA regulations. Motion carried. <br /> 5) A potential problem with water services on Lookout Place was <br /> discussed. The General Manager was asked to do more research and <br /> report at the next meeting as to possible solutions. <br /> 6 ) The General Manager reported on the status of negotiations with <br /> Anoka Electric Cooperative to acquire additional service <br /> territory. <br /> 7) The April financial statements were reviewed and discussed . <br /> 8) The Line Superintendent reviewed the status of all construction <br /> projects with the Commissioners . <br />
