UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> December 6 , 1988 <br /> Tuesday 7:30 P.M. <br /> Present Were: Douglas Dill President <br /> James Tralle Vice Chairman <br /> George Zabee Trustee <br /> Bill Birrenkott General Manager <br /> Others Present: Glenn Sundeen <br /> Patricia Dietrich <br /> Pat Klaers <br /> 1) The meeting was called to order at 7 : 30 P.M. by President Dill . <br /> 2) Motion by Mr. Zabee, seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the <br /> minutes of the previous meeting as presented and distributed. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 3) Motion by Mr . Tralle, seconded by Mr . Zabee to raise the salary <br /> of the Office Manager to $30,500 per year effective January 1 , <br /> 1989. Motion carried . <br /> 4 ) Motion by Mr . Dill , seconded by Mr . Zabee, to raise the salary of <br /> the Line Superintendent to $43,000 per year effective January 1, <br /> 1989. Motion carried. <br /> 5) Motion by Mr . Tralle, seconded by Mr . Zabee, to raise the salary <br /> of the office workers by 5 .5% effective January 1, 1989. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 6) The General Manager reported on the progress in acquiring <br /> additional service areas within the city limits . <br /> 7) Motion by Mr . Tralle, seconded by Mr . Zabee, to authorize the <br /> collection of a $200 deposit on underground service requests for <br /> those contractors who have not established credit with the <br /> utilities. To be effective January 1, 1989 . Motion carried. <br /> 8) The Line Superintendent reported on the status of construction <br /> projects . <br /> 9) The General Manager reported that the employees voted <br /> unanimously to change the Medical Insurance coverage from Aware <br /> Gold to Aware Gold Limited effective January 1, 1989. This is a <br /> less expensive policy. <br /> 10) The next meeting was set for Tuesday, January 10, 1989 at <br /> 7:30 P.M. <br /> 11) Motion by Mr . Tralle, seconded by Mr .
