UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> May 6 , 1988 <br /> Thursday 7 :30 P.M. <br /> Present Were: Douglas Dill President <br /> James Tralle Vice Chairman <br /> George Zabee Trustee <br /> Bill Birrenkott General Manager <br /> Others Present: Glenn Sundeen <br /> 1) The meeting was called to order at 7 : 30 P.M. By President <br /> Dill . <br /> 2) Motion by Mr. Tralle seconded by Mr . Zabee to approve the minutes <br /> of the previous meeting as presented and distributed. Motion <br /> carried . <br /> 3) Motion by Mr . Zabee seconded by Mr . Tralle to make the following <br /> adjustments in the employment agreement effective June 1, 1988 : <br /> 1. Wages for all outside workers to be increased by an amount <br /> equal to 5.5% of the present linemans wage. <br /> 2 . Increase the utility contribution for medical insurance by <br /> $10 .00 per month. <br /> 3. Increase the wage rate of the Lead Lineman to 3 . 5% above the <br /> rate for a journeyman Lineman. <br /> 4 . The Utilities will furnish life insurance to 2 .5 times the <br /> employees base annual wage to $85,000 maximum. <br /> 5 . Commencing June 1, 1988, and every June 1 thereafter, each <br /> employee will be credited with one day of paid personal leave <br /> to be taken at employees discretion with the approval of <br /> management. This leave is noncumulative. <br /> 4) Motion by Mr . Tralle seconded by Mr . Zabee to have the General <br /> Manager write a letter to the City Administrator expressing the <br /> Commissioners concern regarding outlets on the trees in the <br /> downtown area. Motion carried. <br /> 5) Glenn Sundeen updated the Commissioners on the status of the <br /> construction projects and new services . <br /> 6) The next meeting was set for Thursday June 2, 1988 at 7 : 30 P.M. <br /> 7) Motion by Mr. Tralle seconded by Mr .
