( <br /> ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> • �� 322 King Avenue <br /> " Elk River, Minnesota 5.5330 <br /> Phone (612) 441-2020 <br /> UTILITIES COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> December 7 , 1993 <br /> 3 :00 P.M. <br /> 1Present Were: James Tralle President <br /> James Simpson Vice Chairman <br /> George Zabee Trustee <br /> Others Present: Bill Birrenkott General Manager <br /> Glenn Sundeen Line Superintendent <br /> Bob McCartney Water Superintendent <br /> Tom Zerwas Chief of Police <br /> 1) The meeting was called to order at 3:00 P.M. by President <br /> Tralle. <br /> 2 ) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee to approve the <br /> agenda as amended. The Motion carried. <br /> 3) Motion by Mr. Zabee, seconded by Mr. Simpson to approve the <br /> minutes of the previous meeting. The motion carried. <br /> 4 ) A report from Tom Zerwas as chairman of the Street Light <br /> Committee was discussed and explained. Motion by Mr. Zabee, <br /> seconded by Mr. Simpson, to accept and file the street light <br /> committee report as presented. The motion carried. <br /> 5) A new proposal from the Clinkscales Family Trust for the sale <br /> of property next to the Power Plant was discussed. The General <br /> Manager also reported the results of the second appraisal <br /> requested by the Commissioners at the last meeting. Motion by <br /> Mr. Zabee, seconded by Mr. Simpson, to authorize the General <br /> Manager to negotiate further with parties and report the <br /> results to the Commissioners. The motion Carried. <br /> 6) The 1994 Budget as previously distributed to the Commissioners <br /> was discussed in detail. Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by <br /> Mr. Zabee to approve the budget as presented to be filed and <br /> become a part of these minutes. The motion carried. <br /> 7) A proposed addition to the UPA contract incorporating the new <br /> Transformation and substation at the West Sub site was <br /> discussed. Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee, to <br /> approve Supplement #2 to the UPA agreement. The Motion <br /> Carried. <br /> 8) The Line Superintendent updated the Commissioners on the status <br /> of construction projects and other operating conditions. <br />
