Present Were: James Simpson President George Zabee Vice Chairman James Tralle Trustee Others Present: Bill Birrenkott General Manager Glenn Sundeen Line Superintendent Bob McCartney Water Superintendent Terry Maurer City Engineer 1) The meeting was called to order at 3 :00 P.M. by President Simpson. 2 ) Motion by Mr. Zabee, seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the agenda as amended. The Motion carried. 3) Motion by Mr. Zabee, seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as distributed. The motion carried. 4 ) Terry Maurer, City Engineer, noted that the well in the Hillside Addition is progressing normally and he asked the Commission for authorization to proceed with the design of the treatment facilities. Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Zabee to authorize MSA to proceed with the design and prepare bids for the water treatment facility in the Hillside area. The motion carried. 5) Terry also reported that their preliminary models indicated that if we proceed with the installation of the Gary Street Water Tower at 1 .5 Million Gallons (instead of the planned 1.0 million gallons) that we will not have to place a water tower east when that extension is accomplished. Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Zabee to authorize MSA to proceed with the design of a 1.5 million gallon water tower for Gary Street. The Motion carried. 6) The Line Superintendent updated the Commissioners on the status of construction projects and other operating conditions. 7 ) The General Manager reviewed the June financial statements with the Commissioners. 8 ) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Zabee, to approve the check register.
