ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> 322 King Avenue <br /> Elk River, Minnesota 55330 <br /> Phone (612) 441-2020 <br /> UTILITIES COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> August 8, 1995 <br /> 4 :00 P.M. <br /> Present Were: George Zabee President <br /> James Tralle Vice Chairman <br /> John Dietz Trustee <br /> Others Present: Bill Birrenkott General Manager <br /> Bob McCartney Water Superintendent <br /> Glenn Sundeen Line Superintendent <br /> Ron Black Attorney <br /> Gordon Maldenhauer Developer <br /> 1) The meeting was called to order at 4 :00 P.M. by President <br /> Zabee. <br /> 2 ) Motion by Mr. Dietz, seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the <br /> agenda as amended. The Motion carried. <br /> 3 ) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Dietz to approve the <br /> minutes of the previous meeting as distributed. The motion <br /> carried. <br /> 4 ) Gordon Maldenhauer, the developer of Mississippi Oaks in Elk <br /> River presented the Commissioners with a proposal to not charge <br /> him (the developer) with the cost of lowering the previously <br /> installed underground power line. After much discussion, the <br /> Commissioners instructed Mr. Maldenhauer to take up the matter <br /> with the City Council. <br /> 5 ) Ron Black explained our options regarding a request to build <br /> a building in a power line easement. No action was taken at <br /> this time. <br /> 6) Motion by Mr. Tralle seconded by Mr. Zabee, to offer a more <br /> decorative pole to developers when they are installing street <br /> lights in new subdivisions for an additional $500 per pole. <br /> The motion carried. <br /> 7 ) Motion by Mr. Tralle seconded by Mr. Dietz to table any <br /> decision on the construction regarding the line to pick up the <br /> Courthouse to a future meeting. The motion carried. <br />
