ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES REGULAR MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER UTILITIES COMMISSION HELD AT THE ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES OFFICE APRIL 14, 1998 Members Present: President, George Zabee; Vice Chairman, James Tralle; John Dietz, Trustee Staff Present: Bryan Adams, General Manager; Glenn Sundeen, Line Manager; Robert McCartney, Water Superintendent; Patricia Hemza, Office Manager Others Present: Steve McDonald, Abdo, Abdo, Eick &Meyers; Wade Lovelette, Line Foreman; Mark Fuchs, Lead Lineman; Lloyd Lorenzen, Lead Lineman 1. Call meeting to order at 4:00 P.M..April 14, 1998 2. Consider Utilities Agenda Bryan Adams offered two items under Other Business, the School Street Project and Well#6. John Dietz offered one item under Other Business, City Engineer. James Tralle moved to approve the April 14, 1998 Agenda, with the three additions. Mr. Zabee seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0. 3. *Consider Consent Agenda James Tralle moved to approve the Consent Agenda as follows: 3-10-98 Minutes March Check Register Financials 5.1 Up-date Electric Wire & Conduit Bid Results At the March 10, 1998 Utilities meeting, Staff was authorized to award the 1998 Electric Wire and Conduit bid to the lowest responsive bidder. Bryan Adams presented a bid tabulation reflecting the results, and advised the Commission that the bid was presented to Border States, the lowest responsive bidder. 5.2 Up-date Methane Gas Generation & Wind Turbine Project Bryan Adams reviewed the decision by UPA to pursue other wind energy development outside the Elk River Area, due to the new arrangement with Cooperative Power. The progress of the Landfill Gas Generation project was reviewed regarding the Power Strategies request for extensions and the lack of engineering information or a finalized power purchase agreement.
