<br />~Members present Mayor Lundberg, <br /> <br />REGULAR SEJ'1I-JVIONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BDLG. <br /> <br />May 3rd 1976 at 7:30 PM. <br /> <br />Councilmembers Konop, Hudson and Syring. <br /> <br />The minutes of the April 19, 1976 meeting were reviewed as there were no additions or correc- <br />tions the minutes were approved as printed. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Syring approving the renewal fire <br />contract with Otsego Township. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />The Council reviewed the notice of claim filed by Patience E. Harris regarding the accident <br />that occured at the intersection of County Road 12 and 13. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Hudson declaring the week of <br />May 10th 1976 as "Beautify Elk River \'Jeek". Hotion unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />The Clerk was instructed to have Ken Nelson check into what can be done to improve on the <br />safety of the enbankment aClross from Georges Super Value <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Konop and seconded by Councilmember Syring approving the preliminary <br />plot of Mississippi Heights dated April 30, 1976 which comes under the Cities Subdivision <br />ordanince and the Clerk is instructed to notify the County of our approval as recommended by <br />the Planning Commission. Motion unanimously carri'ed by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />t)...M.. oved by Councilmember HUdS. on and seconded by Councilmember Syring dening the zoning change <br />request of the Elk River Assembly of God Church but recommend and grant the issuance of a <br />. onditional use permit to include the following conditions: <br />. 1. For construction of a church only. <br />2. That they hook-up to the cities present sewer and water system. <br />3. Dedicate public right away for the extention of School Street. <br />4. Grade construction to be approved by the City Engineers specifications, all fill, <br />rough grading costs to be church responsibility. <br />5. E:A'tend sewer and watermains and install fire hydrant. <br />6. Construction of building should 'not be lower than existing building for the area, plans <br />to be approved prior to construction by City Engineer. <br />7. This permit applys only for the property description as follows: <br />NWt of section 33, Township 33, Range 26, beginning at the SW corner of Lot 8, Oakfield First <br />Addition; thence Westerly a co~tinuation of the South line of said Lot 8 a distance of 272.25 <br />ft.; thence Northerly along a line parallel to the West line of said Oakfield First Addition <br />a distance of 480 ft.; thence Easterly along a line parallel to the South line of the proper~ <br />herein described a distance of 272.25 ft. to the Northwest corner of Lot 3, Oakfield First <br />Addition; thence Southerly along the West line of Oakfield First Addition to the point of <br />beginning, being 3.0 acres, more or less, City of Elk River. Motion unanimously carried by <br />a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />The Council re:vieir,ed the Improvements Committee minutes. <br /> <br />Hoved by Councilmember Konop and seconded by COLLncilmember Syring calling for a preliminary <br />engineering report on the 1976 street improvements as recommended by the Improvements ' <br />Committee to be prepared by our City Engineers McCombs-Knutson. Motion unanimously carried <br />t)bY a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />.1oved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Hudson calling for a preliminary <br />engineering report for a lift station and sewer main extention for School View First Addition <br />to be prepared by McCombs-Knutson. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br />
