<br />REGULAR SEHI-NONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG. <br /> <br />" APril" 1976 at 7:30 PM. <br /> <br />~Members present Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Konop, Hudso~, Syring and otto. <br /> <br />The minutes of March 15, 1976 meeting were reviewed the spelling of rescind was corrected and <br />the word another regarding the hoist was deleted~ As there were no other additions or <br />corrections the minutes were approved as printed. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Hudson approving and authorizing <br />the Mayor and Clerk to sign the Mutual Aid agreement accepting the new member New Hope, <br />Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Dick Carson met with the Council and presented his preliminary plot plan called Tamarack. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Otto and seconded by Councilmember Syring approving and accepting the <br />preliminary plot plan of Tamarack based on the recommendations of the PlAFming Commission. <br />Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Konop approving Northwestern Bell <br />request to place buried cable on U,land Ave and 5th Street. Notion unanimously carried by a <br />vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember otto approving the adoption of <br />the resolution indicating intent to join with other general purpose units of local government <br />in the Central Minnesota area to develop and tmplement a plan resulting in a coordinated <br />C'"waste treatment management system for the area. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br />.A copy of the resolution is attached. <br /> <br />The Council reviewed the County Assessors request to hold the Board of Review Meeting during <br />the day time hours. The Council does not feel that the residents ot our community would be - <br />able to make a day time meeting therefore request was denied. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember otto authorizing the expenditure <br />of $100.00 to purchase two League of Minnesota Municipalities Hand Books. Motion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Tom Eckdahl representing the Lake Owners Association met with the Council, he presented a <br />resolution that the City and Township consider the problems of the dam repairs as a part of <br />their consolidating negotiations. <br /> <br />The Council recommended that ,they present a petition or resolution supporting a special <br />taxing district or consolidation for daminprovements to the township and city. <br /> <br />No further business the meeting ajourned at 9:50 PM. <br />~-----------..,. <br />\l,-_L._=' "-'-'" <br /> <br />'~rk-Treasure <br />"-- <br /> <br /> <br />C <br />
