<br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG. <br /> <br />September 2, 1975 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Members present Mayor Lundberg Councilmembers Konop, Hudson and Syring. <br /> <br />The minutes of the August 18, 1975 were reviewed as there were no additions or <br />corrections the minutes stand approved as printed. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Hudson adopting the <br />resolution accepting the State of Minnesota Grant for Disposal System in the amount <br />of $4,905.00. Motion unaminously carried by a vote_of 4 to O. A copy of the <br />resolution is attached. <br /> <br />Moved by Counoilmember Konop and seconded by Councilmember Hudson approving the <br />payment request No.4 Lee Richert's on the Iron Removal Plant in the amount of <br />$39,735.20. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Mayor Lundberg stated that the Council could levy 1 mil or $2 ,000.00 which ever <br />is the lessor for advertising. The Coucil stated that its present intentions are <br />to levy $800.00 for signs in the 1976 levy. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syrigaiid seconded by Councilmember Konop approvlbng the <br />paying of the General Government bills for payment as listed. Motion unaminously <br />carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />8:10 p.m. Mayor Lundberg declared the public hearing of Rip-Rapping of the river <br />bank open. Eight property owners were in attendance. It was the general consensus <br />of property owners in attendance that the entire project cost would be prohibitive. <br />They also stated thatat which time there is a erosion problem then possibily a <br />study would be necessary. <br /> <br />9:08 p.m. Mayor Lundberg declared the Public Hearing closed. <br /> <br />Bob Syring gave an oral report on the Finance Committee. It appears that the <br />classifications by departments looks good and a 10% average increase for wages. <br /> <br />No further business the meeting adjourned at 9:54. <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />.., Clerk-Treasurer <br />
