<br />REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE CotmCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG. <br /> <br />O April 21, 1975 at 7:30 PM. <br /> <br />The Regular Send-Monthly Meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order by Mayor <br />Lundberg on April 21, 1975 at 7:30 PM. in the Council Chambers of the City Office Bldg. <br />Members present were as follows: Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Konop, Hudson, Syring, <br />John MacGibbon, City Attorney was in attendance. <br /> <br />The ndnutes of the April 7, 1975 meeting were approved as printed. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Syring approve and issue a <br />cOmiitional Use pernd.t to Mrs. Douglas Walker to maintain a Day Care Center in their home <br />up to 10 children providing they meet all County and State code regulations. Motion <br />unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Don Strei, Randy Linquist, and Gene Scribner representing the Elk River Joint Park Board <br />met with the Council regarding CETA workers and the maintenance of the ball parks. Council <br />stated that Mr. Nelson will continue to maintance the ball parks with his employees. <br /> <br />The Counc~l looked at a road sign for the Northbound Liquor Store the matter was referred <br />to the Fitmce Comnd.ttee. <br /> <br />The Council reviewed some plans for lot developments within the 2 ndle Elk River area. The <br />matter was tabled until more information was avalible for the Planning Comnd.ssions:J:"eview <br />and recomendations. <br /> <br />O The Counil reviewed the City Insurance bids with Dan Greene and Al Froehlich in attendance, <br />Final awarding fo the bid was continued until May 5, 1975 more information on clarification <br />on certain items were needed. <br /> <br />9: 30 PM. Ma:y-&t declared the receiving of bids on the compressor and jeep closed. <br /> <br />The following bids on the compressor were received: <br />Harvey Richner $35.00 <br />George Mattson $25.00 <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Syring to accept and award the <br />highest bid to Harvey Richner. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of lv-O. <br /> <br />The following bids on the jeep were received: <br /> <br />81:~Nj~tj~g~on i1~6:88 <br /> <br />George Hudson $161.00 <br />George Mattson $103.55 <br />Jeff Syring $175.25 <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Sryi.ng and seconded by Councilmember Hudson to accept and award the <br />highest bid to Olaf Netteberg 4-0. <br /> <br />The Council reviewed the two maintance service contracts for police dept. radio's equip.. <br />ment received from Land Mobile &: Air Comm. <br /> <br />O Moved by Councilmember HUdson~,and seconded by Councilmember Ko~;uthoriZing Joe Zerwas <br />to sign service contract with which ever of the two bidders he Gers. Motion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 4.-0. <br /> <br />Mr. Jones a resident on Baldwin Ave. met with the Council regarding speeders on Baldwin Ave. <br /> <br />the Council referred the matter to the Police Dept. possib'1:y,'J.ee can arrange for a unmarked <br />car for that area. <br />
