<br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />t) <br /> <br />REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG. <br /> <br />January 20, 1975 at 7:30 PM. <br /> <br />The Regular Semi-Monthly meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Lundberg on January 20, 1975 at 7:30 PM. in the Council Chambers of the City Office <br />Bldg. Members present were as follows: Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Konop,' Hudson, Syring, <br />and Burke, <br /> <br />The minutes of the January 6, 1975 meeting were reviewed the following corrections were note <br />the date should read 1-6-75 and not 1-20-75, the check on the parking lot assessment shouldt <br />credit~ed to the proper assessment roll and a letter of notification sent to the County <br />Auditor of this credit. No further additions or corrections the minutes were than <br />approved as corrected. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Burke approving change order <br />No. 2 on Northbound Liquor Store Bldg. as recommended by Rod Neujahr. Motion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Syring approving change order <br />No. 3 on Northbound Liquor Store Bldg. as recommended by Rod Neujahr. Motion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring anJ seconded by Councilmember Hudson accepting the contract <br />with Russ Anderson for the installation of the carpeting for the new Library Bldg. <br />at $1.90 per square yard. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />The Public Hearing on the Wastewater Treatment Facilities was called to order at 8: 04 PM. <br />Mayor Lundberg, Skip McCombs, Lyle Swanson, and Greg Frank of M~Combs-Knutson & Associates <br />presented the presentation, other persons in attendance were Dick Gongoll, Jack Kline, <br />Mr. & Mrs. Kendall Houlten, Stan Weaton, Tom Koller, and Jack Gudim. <br /> <br />see attached transcript <br /> <br />The Mayor stated that if the City wants to apply for State Aid monies for a storm sew.er <br />project the preliminary application dead line is March 1, 1975. <br /> <br />,t?lYa;-"&"~- <br /> <br />Mrs. Kenneth Van Patten met with the Council in regards to Joe Zerwas changing over tot' a <br />G.E. Dealer for the police depts radio repairs. Mrs. Van Patten would also like to have her <br />black metal book shelf back. Joe should contact her on this ma~ter of the book shelf. <br />Joe was also instructed to talk with Jerry Dube and ask him to ~.e~r~7M~6'~mS selling radio <br />equipment in our area unless he has a valid franchise. .~Li:...~...c,~~t!~.;1 ..l-t,. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Burke and seconded by Councilmember Hudson approving the $40.00 <br />schooling expenditure for Mark Rieschl. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />The matter on a vehicle for the dog catcher was tabled at this time his is to use the <br />68' Chev. pickup for dog catching. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Burke approving of the <br />expenditure request of the Police Dept. to purchase two (2) Regency 8 Channel Scanners <br />for $281.00. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Burke approving the paying <br />of the Liquor Store bills as listed. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />No further business the meeting adjourned at 10:00 PM. <br /> <br />
