<br /> <br />REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG.. <br /> <br />June 17, 1974 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The Regular Semi...Monthly meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Lundberg on June 17, 1974 at 7:30 PM. in the Council Chambers of the City Office Bldg. <br />Members present were as follows: Mayor Lundberg, Councilrnembers Cooper and Burke. <br /> <br />The minutes of the June 3rd meeting were approved as printed. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilrnember Cooper and seconded by Councilrnember Burke approving the renewal <br />request of the Eagles Club for a Set-Up Lie. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilrnember Cooper and seconded by Councilrnember Burke approving the reviewal request <br />of Milot s Main Tap for a Set-Up Lie. Motion unanimously carrieyy a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Developer Marvin George met with the Council requesting that the Street paving for School <br />View 1st Addition be done in two stages first stage pave the streets that are already <br />developed and pave the remaining street next year 1975. Moved by Councilrnember Cooper and <br />seconded by Councilrnember Burke approving Marvin George request to pave the street in <br />School View 1st Addition in two stages as submitted. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of <br />3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilrnember Cooper and seconded by Burke declaring June 21 - July 21 1974 a <br />Victory Month. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br /> <br />oved by Councilrnember Burke and seconded by Councilrnember Cooper authorizing that the <br />9,695.00 fifth entitlement period July 1, 1974 through June 30, 1975 planned use report on <br />eneral Revenue Sharing be placed in Item 9 Multipurpose and General Government. Motion <br />Unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilrnember Burke and seconded by Councilrnember Cooper Authorizing John MacGibbon <br />to draft a letter to Burlington Northern Inc. regarding the lease rent increases for 1974 and <br />1975 also state the City position in that we appase the increase because we maintain the parkin <br />lots. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Cooper and seconded by Council member Burke to accept Sherburne County <br />Sheriffs Dept. lease agreement on the new radio at $300.00 per year to be reviewed again <br />at the end of the year. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilrnember Burke and seconded by Councilrnember Cooper calling for the public sale <br />of $260,000 General Obligation Library Building Bonds of 1974 for July 17, 1974 at 7: 00 PM. <br />also authorize the Clerk To advertise in the Sherburne County Star News and the Construction <br />Bulletin. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Mayor Lundberg made the following appointment. Father Petermeyer to the Tri-Cap Board as <br />Father Haupt has other commitments. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilrnember Cooper and seconded by Councilrnember Burke to erect a 3 way stop si~ <br />on School Street East bound. Hqlt Ave.4htterance Meadowvale Rd. West bound and Upland; Ii 411) <br />School Street and Proctor Avenue. Motion unanimously carried by a Vote of 3-0. <br /> <br /> <br />oved by Councilrnember Cooper and seconded by Councilrnember Burke to invoice Gunnar L. Johnson <br />nd Hazel Frye as suggested in Mr, Nelsons report. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of <br />3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilrnember Cooper and seconded by Councilmember Burke to approve the payment of the <br />Liquor Store bills as presented and listed. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br />
