Elk River
Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING
TO: FROM:
ERMU Commission Mark Fuchs—Electric Superintendent
MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER:
July 10, 2018 6.1c
SUBJECT:
Staff Update
ACTION REQUESTED:
None
DISCUSSION:
• Had twelve new house services.
• Continue working on collecting data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time permits.
• Continue to change out some of our old transformers in the city of Dayton as time
permits. Once they are removed from service, they'll be tested for PCB's in the oil; if it's
determined they're contaminated they will be disposed of through Clean Harbors.
• Completed rebuilding the single phase overhead primary and secondary with single phase
underground primary and secondary on Edison Street. There is some three phase
underground that will need to be installed once the new RV storage building is ready for
power.
• Continue to install the infrastructure in Areas 5&6 heading north of the Waco substation.
This project was started in 2017 and is being done in preparation of the two areas to be
acquired this September. As Connexus is keeping their feeder in these areas, this
additional work is required.
• Michels Pipeline completed the joint trenching for the small utilities in Eagles Marsh 3rd
Addition, and we have also completed the infrastructure for this project; there are a total
of 12 lots in this addition.
• Michels Pipeline is working on joint trenching for the small utilities in the Tall Pines
Addition; this addition has 27 lots in it.
• We started rebuilding part of 192 1/2 Avenue in Area 3 that we acquired from Connexus
last year. This will help with fuse coordination and phasing issues in that area.
Page 1of1
105
