Call Meeting to Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Planning <br /> Commission was called to order at 6:48 p.m. by Chair Johnson. <br /> 2. Consider May 22, 2018, Planning Commission Agenda <br /> Moved by Commissioner Larson-Vito and seconded by Commissioner <br /> Feinstein to approve the May 22, 2018, Planning Commission agenda. <br /> Motion carried 7-0. '% <br /> 3.1 Consider April 24, 2018, Planning Commission Minutes <br /> Moved by Commissioner Thiel and seconded by Commissioner Nicholas to <br /> approve the April 24, 2018, Planning Commission minutes. <br /> Motion carried 7-0. <br /> 4.1. Spectrum High School, 10129 1815`Ave. NW <br /> ■ Conditional Use Permit—athletic complex updates & expansion, Case No. <br /> CU 18-09 <br /> Mr. Leeseberg presented the staff report. He stated staff is recommending changing <br /> the applicant's request to an Interim Use Permit (IUP) with an expiration date on <br /> June 30, 2023,which will allow the proposed use/expansion. He discussed that <br /> during a future meeting staff will present to the Planning Commission and City <br /> Council an ordinance amendment allowing Commercial Recreational Facilities in <br /> some single-family zoning districts. Mr. Leeseberg explained athletic fields are <br /> allowed when associated with a school, and are allowed in single-family residential <br />
