Both turf fields now are equipped with lights and scoreboards. Staff will be installing football <br /> goalposts in July to complete work on this complex for the summer. Overall improvements to OKAC <br /> in 2017 and 2018 include installation of two new scoreboards on Fields 3 and 4,installation of lights on <br /> Field 4,new dugouts on Fields 1 and 2,reconstruction of the pitching mound on Field 1,and reshaping <br /> of the infields on Fields 1 and 2. <br /> The new scoreboards were installed by the vendor on DAAC Fields 1-4 last week. Electrical work to <br /> connect the scoreboards will be completed in the next two weeks. These scoreboards are multipurpose <br /> Daktronics scoreboards that will serve both baseball/softball and youth football on the fields. These <br /> scoreboards are the same model installed on YAC Fields 1-6 in 2017. <br /> Installation of the light poles for the Lions John Weicht Park basketball courts was completed in May. <br /> ERMU installed the poles, fixtures, and conduit for the project for the cost of materials. <br /> Staff met with the irrigation and well contractors at DAAC last week to conduct project coordination <br /> for the irrigation installation project. Work is anticipated to be complete in early July on all fields to <br /> include tying together both the Kuss and DAAC wells to provide sufficient water volume for the <br /> system. <br /> The city partnership with ERMU continues to be mutually beneficial and their work to assist the Parks <br /> Maintenance Division meet its goals is much appreciated.
