<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />,., <br /> <br />Council Meeting <br />March 21, 1977 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Members present Mayor Lundberg, Councilmember Otto, Toth and Konop. <br /> <br />The minutes of the March 7, 1977 meeting were reviewed as there were no additions or <br />corrections the minutes were approved as printed. <br /> <br />Ken Nelson met with the Council regarding the purchasing of a chdlpper for use by the <br />Street Dept. and utilities. Bill Patenude said that the Utitilies would be willing to <br />pay half the cost. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Otto and seconded by Councilmember Konop authorizing Ken Nelson to <br />negotiate the purchase of a chipper up to $2,500.00 to be charged against the Du_ch Elm <br />FUnd. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />7:35 p.m. Mayor Lundberg declared the receivi~g of bids on Employees group health insurance <br />closed. <br /> <br />The following bids we~e received <br />Blue Cross & Blue Shield <br />Connectmcut General Life Ins. Co. <br />Travelers <br /> <br />.56( <br />.90( <br />.86( <br /> <br />43.66 - 70.93 = 114.59 <br />29.28 - 65.23 = 94.51 <br />30.43 - 60.32 = 90.75 <br /> <br />The awarding of bids was tabled until a later date so that all bids can be reviewed by the <br />committee. <br /> <br />City Engineer Lyle Swanson met with the Council and submitted a listing of all bids re- <br />ceived on the Treatment Plant and IntelP;eptor. A copy of the listing is attached. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Toth and seconded by Councilmember otto tabling the awarding of <br />these bids on the inte~eptor and treatment plant until the engineers have ample time to <br />review each bid. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />The following bid quote <br />Bidder <br />Solidification, Inc. <br />Plaunt & Anderson Co. <br />Viking Pipe Service Co. <br /> <br />for the <br /> <br />sani tary sewer line <br />Unit Price <br />$0.75 <br />$0.98 <br />$1.21 <br /> <br />cleaning & televising were <br />Total <br />$13,875.00 <br />$18,130.00 <br />$22,429.00 <br /> <br />receiveds <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Konop and seconded by Councilmember Toth approving and awarding the <br />lowest bidder Solidification, Inc. in the amount of $13,875.00 for the sewer line televis- <br />ing. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember otto and seconded by Councilmember Toth approving and authorizing <br />the Mayor to execute the EPA permit agreement. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of <br />4-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Council!llember Toth and seconded by Councilmember Otto approving the paying of the <br />liquor store b~lls for payment as listed. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br />A copy of thel.~$t is attached. <br /> <br />The Council discussed t~e proposed Northtown Stadium Site project. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Konop and seconded by Mayor Lundberg adopting the resolution aupport- <br />ing the proposed Northtown site for a multipurpose domed stadium. Motion unaminously <br />carried by a vote of 4-0. A copy of the resolution IDS attached. <br /> <br />The Council discussed the township withdrawal of their consolidation resolution because <br />it differed from the cities resolution. <br />
