,., Council Meeting March 21, 1977 at 7:30 p.m. Members present Mayor Lundberg, Councilmember Otto, Toth and Konop. The minutes of the March 7, 1977 meeting were reviewed as there were no additions or corrections the minutes were approved as printed. Ken Nelson met with the Council regarding the purchasing of a chdlpper for use by the Street Dept. and utilities. Bill Patenude said that the Utitilies would be willing to pay half the cost. Moved by Councilmember Otto and seconded by Councilmember Konop authorizing Ken Nelson to negotiate the purchase of a chipper up to $2,500.00 to be charged against the Du_ch Elm FUnd. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. 7:35 p.m. Mayor Lundberg declared the receivi~g of bids on Employees group health insurance closed. The following bids we~e received Blue Cross & Blue Shield Connectmcut General Life Ins. Co. Travelers .56( .90( .86( 43.66 - 70.93 = 114.59 29.28 - 65.23 = 94.51 30.43 - 60.32 = 90.75 The awarding of bids was tabled until a later date so that all bids can be reviewed by the committee. City Engineer Lyle Swanson met with the Council and submitted a listing of all bids re- ceived on the Treatment Plant and IntelP;eptor. A copy of the listing is attached. Moved by Councilmember Toth and seconded by Councilmember otto tabling the awarding of these bids on the inte~eptor and treatment plant until the engineers have ample time to review each bid. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. The following bid quote Bidder Solidification, Inc. Plaunt & Anderson Co. Viking Pipe Service Co. for the sani tary sewer line Unit Price $0.75 $0.98 $1.21 cleaning & televising were Total $13,875.00 $18,130.00 $22,429.00 receiveds Moved by Councilmember Konop and seconded by Councilmember Toth approving and awarding the lowest bidder Solidification, Inc. in the amount of $13,875.00 for the sewer line televis- ing. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. Moved by Councilmember otto and seconded by Councilmember Toth approving and authorizing the Mayor to execute the EPA permit agreement. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. Moved by Council!llember Toth and seconded by Councilmember Otto approving the paying of the liquor store b~lls for payment as listed. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. A copy of thel.~$t is attached. The Council discussed t~e proposed Northtown Stadium Site project. Moved by Councilmember Konop and seconded by Mayor Lundberg adopting the resolution aupport- ing the proposed Northtown site for a multipurpose domed stadium. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. A copy of the resolution IDS attached. The Council discussed the township withdrawal of their consolidation resolution because it differed from the cities resolution.
