<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Council Meeting <br />March 7, 1977 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Members present Mayor Lundberg, Councilmember Konop and Otto. <br /> <br />The minutes of the February 22, 1977 meeting were reviewed, a spelling error was noted <br />and corrected then the minutes were approved as printed. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Otto and seconded by Councilmember Konop approving North Central <br />Public Service Co. request to install plastic gas main extention on County Rd. 12 and on <br />County Rd. 13, East of TH. 169 as per drawing. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of <br />3-0. <br /> <br />Ken Parker representative of the Elk River Chamber of Commerce met with the Council re- <br />garding diseased tree-control :QTogram for the city. The Council suggested that the <br />Chamber check into what are the best type of trees for replacement also what are the pre- <br />vention methods recommended. <br /> <br />Councilmember Toth inattendance 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Otto and seconded by Councilmember Toth approving the time change <br />request by McCombs-Knutson for the receiving of bids on the interseptor and treatment <br />plant from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the interseptor and 4:30 p.m. on the treatment plant <br />for March 21, 1977. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Wayne Sames, and Paul Stevenson representatives of Dept. of Natural Resources met with the <br />Council regarding the scenic rivers ordinance. They would like to have the Planning <br />Commission appoint a committee to jointly work with the Dept. of Natural Resourses in <br />drafting an ordinance that could be suitable to the cities requirements for the scenic <br />river needs. The Council suggested that a representative of their dept. meElt with the <br />Planning Commission on March 28, 1977 at their regular monthly meeting to discuss their <br />request. <br /> <br />Greg Frank of McCombs-Knutson met with the Council requesting Council approval to call for <br />bid quotes for televising the sewage lines for March 18, 1977. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember otto and seconded by Councilmember Konop authorizing the cities <br />engineering firm of McCombs-Knutson &. Associates to call for bid quotation for televising <br />the cities sewer lines, bids to be opened on March 18, 1977 at McCombs-Knutson office and <br />recommendation to be submitted to the City Council at their regular scheduled meeting on <br />March 21, 1977. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />No further business the meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m. <br /> <br />
