<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL <br />HELD AT THE ELK RIVER PUBLIC LIBRARY <br />JUNE 7, 1982 <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Hinkle, Councilmembers Schuldt, Engstrom, Toth and Duitsman <br /> <br />Members Absent: None <br /> <br />1. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Hinkle. <br /> <br />2 . Agenda <br /> <br />Item 10~ - meeting dates for July and August was added to the June 7, 1982 City <br />Council Agenda. <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN ENGSTROM MOVED TO APPROVE THE JUNE 7TH, 1982, CITY COUNCIL AGENDA AS <br />AMENDED. COUNCILMAN DUITSMAN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />3. Minutes <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MAY 17, 1982 CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING. COUNCILMAN TOTH SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />4. Open Mike <br /> <br />No one appeared for this item. <br /> <br />5. Final Approval of the Tescom Industrial Revenue Bond <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that Resolution 82-10 is a resolution granting final <br />approval for the issuance of $1,500,000 of industrial revenue bonds for the Tescom <br />Corporation. The City Administrator indicated that the documents necessary for the <br />industrial revenue bond issue have met with the City Attorney's approval and further <br />indicated that approval of this resolution would be the final action necessary for <br />the industrial revenue bond issue for the Tescom Corporation. <br /> <br />Mr. Don Glessman, representative of the Tescom Corporation, was present to answer <br />any questions the City Council may have. Mr. Glessman indicated that the construction <br />of the new project is ahead of schedule and it is anticipated that they will have a <br />July occupancy of the new building. <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN .TOTH MOVED TO APPROVE RESOLUTION 82-10, A RESOLUTION GRANTING FINAL AP- <br />PROVAL TO THE ISSUANCE OF $1,500,000 FOR INDUSTRIAL REVENUE. BONDS FOR THE TESCOM <br />CORPORATION. COUNCILMAN ENGSTROM.. SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br /> <br />6. Ad Hoc Advisory Committee Final Report on City Operations <br /> <br />Mayor Hinkle indicated that Mr. John Pearce, Chairman of the Ad Hoc Advisory Com- <br />mittee, was present to review the report submitted to the Council by the Committee <br />and answer any questions that the City Council may have. Mayor Hinkle further <br />expressed his appreciation to the Ad Hoc Advisory Committee for. .their work in <br />studying the City's operations and for the final report they ha~e submitted to the <br />City Council. <br />
