Call Meeting To Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Planning <br /> Commission was called to order at 6:58 p.m. by Chair Mesich. <br /> 2. Consider 2/27/01 Planning Commission Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER PEDERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 27, 2001 <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION AGENDA. COMMISSIONER JOHNSON SECONDED THE <br /> • MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 3. Consider Planning Commission Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER JOHNSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE JANUARY 23, 2001, MINUTES. <br /> COMMISSIONER PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0-1. <br /> Commissioner Schuster abstained. <br /> COMMISSIONER CHAMBERS MOVED TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 13, 2001, <br /> MINUTES. COMMISSIONER JOHNSON SECONDED THE MOTION. Planning Commission Representative to Attend March City Council Meeting <br /> Commissioner Johnson will attend the March 19, 2001, City Council meeting. <br /> 5.1. Request by Elk River Area Schools for Conditional Use Permit for Senior High <br /> Parking Lot Expansion, Public Hearing-Case No. CU 01-1 1 <br /> Staff report by Director of Planning Michele McPherson. Independent School <br /> District #728 requests approval of a conditional use permit for the expansion of <br /> the senior high school parking lot. Ms. McPherson noted that an interim use <br /> permit was previously granted by the City for temporary parking on this area. <br /> The proposed parking lot will add 372 parking spaces, which meets the parking <br /> • required for 1,116 students (one space per three students).
