There was significant
buildup in their service line which was causing odor issues. We flushed the line and
replaced the 5/8"with a larger meter to help increase their flow.
• EH Renner and Sons removed roughly 15 cubic yards of sand from Well#9. This sand
was the remnants from the well driller under developing the well when it was drilled. We
are hopeful that this will solve the problem for the foreseeable life of the well. The pump
and motor will be reinstalled as soon as the new parts for the sand damaged parts arrive.
• We will be hydrant flushing May 7— 11.
• As Minnesota Section Chair-Elect of the American Water Works Association (AWWA),
I attended a section board meeting on April 27. We are focusing on the planning of the
annual conference, and also began budget discussions.
• As Suburban Utilities Superintendent Association (SUSA) President, I attended the April
meeting. At the April meeting we focused on MN AWWA memberships, and the benefits
of being a member. At the May meeting we will tour of the US Bank Stadium.
ATTACHMENTS:
• April 2018 Pumping by Well
• April 2018 Accumulated Precipitation Graph
• April 2018 Daily Temperature Graph
87
