The district was intended to allow certain industrial, <br /> office and limited commercial uses based on the underlying land use <br /> classification. Office and industrial uses would be allowed when the <br /> underlying land use is light industrial and certain commercial uses would be <br /> allowed when the land use classification is highway business. The current <br /> ordinance does not reflect that intent. <br /> One option would be would be to list the uses allowed when the underlying <br /> land use is highway business as shown below: <br /> Permitted Uses <br /> i. Permitted uses allowed when the underlying land use is light <br /> industrial: <br /> 1. Light manufacturing <br /> 2. Research and development laboratories <br /> 3.
