Some final site clean-up and regrading of the access road into the <br /> park will need to be conducted once conditions permit. <br /> Park Improvement Fund <br /> • Hillside City Park Trail Reconstruction—Bid opening for reconstruction of Sections 1 and 2 at <br /> Hillside City Park was conducted on March 31,2018. Only one bid was received,however the <br /> bid was from a very reputable trail builder and was within budget. Approval of the contract will <br /> be recommended to City Council at the April 16,2018 regular meeting. The vendor has <br /> indicated a desire to complete this project prior to June 1, 2018. <br /> • Deerfield Hill Park—Staff is currently working with vendors on the design of the new <br /> playground for Deerfield Hill Park. Four different design options were provided by the vendor <br /> for the playground and discussed with the vendor on April 4,2018. Minor changes were <br /> recommended to the preferred design. Construction is anticipated to be conducted in August, <br /> 2018. <br /> • Oak Knoll Athletic Field Lighting and Scoreboard—City Council approved the contract with <br /> Musco Lighting at the March 5,2018 City Council Meeting. Staff has been working with Musco <br /> on the installation timeline and it is anticipated that the equipment will be delivered and installed <br /> beginning the week of April 9,2018. Final installation will be dependent on the weather in order <br /> to allow for electrical conduit to be installed by ERMU. <br /> • The Elk River Youth Basketball Association has donated$13,400 for the installation of four new <br /> basketball hoops and lights for the basketball courts at Lions John Weicht Park.
