Ach, City Planner.- -- <br /> DATE: June 27, 1995 <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Amendment by the City <br /> of Elk River/Public Hearing Case <br /> No. OA 94-7 <br /> Request <br /> The City of Elk River is requesting to amend the subdivision ordinance. <br /> Background <br /> • This item was presented to the Planning Commission last month at the May <br /> 23, 1995 Planning Commission public hearing meeting. Staff provided the <br /> Commission with an overview of the proposed changes to the ordinance, as <br /> well as the purpose for amending the subdivision ordinance at this time. <br /> Without going into great detail on the specific changes with the ordinance, <br /> staff will be prepared to walk through the ordinance at Tuesday night's <br /> meeting outlining the major changes that are taking place. Generally <br /> speaking, the ordinance amendment is not a dramatic change from the <br /> current subdivision ordinance. However, the ordinance amendment does <br /> accomplish the following three points: <br /> • Provide consistency with current operating procedures. <br /> • Minor format changes and restructuring of the ordinance to hopefully <br /> read easier. <br /> • Adjust any grammatical errors that may have existed with the current <br /> ordinance and makes reference to the appropriate representatives. <br /> • <br /> P.O.
