<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />September 1, 1955 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The town board of Elk River met in regular session at the home of Everett Specht. All members <br />present. <br /> <br />Present: \[not listed\] <br /> <br />The following business was taken care of. The board approved the petition for a road into land <br />owned by J D Scott, Bob Glidden & Rootes. It was decided to settle with August Oberg for a right <br />of way along his west line. It was agreed that the proposed road be surveyed should be done by the <br />County Engineers office. An agreement was given be \[sic\] J D Scott for a four rod road across his <br />property for road purposes. The board approved speed limit signs along old highway to ball park. <br /> <br />The following bills were paid <br /> <br /> <br />Revenue fund <br /> <br />No 41. Everett L Specht $27.65 <br /> <br />No 42. Orville Bernard 4.00 <br /> <br />No 43 Oscar Engstrom 24.25 <br /> <br />No 44 Everett Rathbun 4.40 <br /> \[Total Revenue Fund:\] $60.30 <br /> Received for spraying 12.35 <br /> 3.65 <br /> <br />th <br /> Balance Aug. 6 $4993.91 <br /> Received for spraying 13.35 <br /> \[Subtotal:\] $5007.26 <br />st <br /> Paid Sept 1 60.30 <br /> \[Balance September 1, 1955:\] $4946.96 <br /> <br />No further business the meeting adjourned <br /> <br />Everett Rathbun <br />Clerk. <br />
