Director <br /> Reviewed by <br /> Cal Portner, City Administrator <br /> Action Requested <br /> Approve,by motion, the purchase of a 2018 Elgin Pelican Dual Gutter Broom Sweeper. <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> The 2018 Elgin Pelican Dual Gutter Broom Sweeper will replace Unit 316, a 2005 Pelican sweeper. The <br /> total cost for the purchase of the Pelican sweeper with optional components is $220,661 with a trade-in <br /> value for the 2005 unit of$15,000;resulting in a final state contract purchase price of$205,661. <br /> Financial Impact <br /> The total cost of the equipment with optional components is $205,661 after trade-in of the existing <br /> sweeper. The estimated replacement cost in the approved 2018 Equipment Replacement Fund was <br /> $175,000.
