Library Zones Report <br />Elk River Public Library Board <br /> <br />The Library Board serves in an advisory capacity to City of Elk River for issues related to the Elk River Public <br />Library grounds, the physical building and interior fixtures. Rain garden, book drop turnaround, <br />employee parking lot; being a good <br />neighbor <br /> <br />Zone 4 Mick Being a good neighbor, grass & rock areas <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Zone 5 Rita Rain garden, interior and exterior <br />building maintenance, interior furniture <br />and shelving <br /> Hand dryers in bathrooms need more <br />forceful air &/or paper towel dispensers. <br />City staff will contact Bldg Mtnc for <br />possible solutions (10/4/17). <br /> DVD collection is on standard shelving. A <br />block is needed to prevent DVD’s from <br />slipping to the back and falling behind the <br />shelved items. Rita will check with <br />Friends group for solution (10/4/17). <br />IMPROVEMENTS IN PROCESS <br /> <br />1. Kiosk and signage (Rae Ann Gardner). Garden signage is installed; kiosk proof was approved <br />by Board, pending it’s completion and installation (9/6/17) <br /> <br />FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />High Priority <br />1. Lounging space vs. table & uncomfortable chairs in teen area <br />5. Urinals in some or all of the unisex bathrooms <br />6.
