<br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING <br />TOWN OF ELK RIVER <br />March 8, 1949 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The town board of the township of Elk River met at 9 o’clock A.M. for twp election. The meeting <br />was called to order by Clerk and Mrs. A.L. Powell was appointed Moderator. <br /> <br />The treasurers report was read and accepted. The following levies was voted. Road and bridge fund <br />8. Mills or $1808.00 No revenue levies were voted. The assessors salary was voted at seven ($7.00) <br />dollars per day <br /> <br />The results of the election were as follows. Oscar Engstrom for three years for supervisor, <br />E.G. Palmer treasurer 2 years, A.L. Powell assessor 2 years, and Everett Rathbun Clerk one (1) year. <br />Gilbert Goenner was elected as supervisor for soil conservation district. <br /> <br />\[No note re: adjournment.\] <br /> <br />Everett Rathbun <br />Clerk <br /> <br />
