Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> ERMU Commission Jennie Nelson—Customer Service Manager <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> November 14, 2017 4.1 <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Deposits &Related Services Policies <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Approve the revised Service Policies. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Deposits &Related Services Policy was created to document our billing policies such as <br /> billing dates, application for service, disconnect/reconnect processes, etc. Currently,the policy <br /> reflects the fact that all customers are billed at the same time and therefore have the same due <br /> date. <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> Starting in January 2018, staff will be moving towards four billing cycles per month. The <br /> revisions in the proposed policy reflect the new billing and due dates along with other changes <br /> recommended by legal counsel.
