As the system is
located they will work with the mapping department to ensure our maps are accurate.
• We had the leak detection company out to verify that our hydrants weren't leaking. We
will start the process again next spring after we flush the entire city.
• The WTP#7 expansion has been completed. The engineers are working on the as-builds.
Once they are complete we will be able to close out the project.
• The Zylstra Harley Owners Group (HOGs) once again painted hydrants throughout the
city. To recognize their efforts, we'll be adding an engraved name plate to our perpetual
recognition plaque.
• The monthly Suburban Utilities Superintendent Association meeting was held at the
Waste Water Treatment Plant(WWTP). We had roughly 35 utility superintendents from
around the metro attend the meeting. After the tour of the WWTP we toured the GRE
Power Plant next door. Thanks to Matt Stevens and his crew for hosting the meeting.
• A meeting with Kodet Architectural has been scheduled for October 23 from 9:30 to
11:30 a.m. to talk through the design aspects for the Field Services Facility Expansion
Project. As Commissioner Nadeau and Thompson volunteered to be part of the
workgroup associated with the project staff is requesting they attend if it works with their
schedule.
96
