Recognize Zeus for his service to the department and his retirement. <br />2. Adopt, by motion, the K9 retirement agreement for the sale of an animal and waiver of liability <br />agreement. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />K9 Zeus entered service with the Elk River Police Department in January of 2009. <br /> <br />During his eight years with the department, Zeus has earned numerous awards for service and K9 <br />competition. With the promotion of Adam Bebeau to Patrol Sergeant, Zeus is retiring from active patrol <br />duty and given his age and experience it is not conducive to transfer him to a new handler.
