John Cunningham, Fire Chief <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Fire Station Feasibility and Facility Study Cal Portner, City Administrator <br />Reviewed by <br /> <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />Review study and provide feedback. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />In March, the fire department contracted with Five Bugles Design, a division of ADG Architects, LLC, <br />to conduct a long-range strategic fire station master plan, which included an in-depth evaluation of <br />current facilities, locations, staffing, apparatus, and transportation infrastructure. <br /> <br />To begin the process, Five Bugles collected copious amounts of incident and mapping data to compare <br />against national standards for resource deployment. The department’s on-call officer team met with Five <br />Bugles to share and discuss operational considerations for the study. Department management met both <br />in-person and via teleconference on a number of occasions to review data and various draft reports.
