RESOLUTION 97- 26 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF <br /> AN ALL-WAY STOP SIGN STUDY AT THE <br />INTERSECTION OF THIRD STREET AND GATES AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS traffic has continued to increase on both Third Street and Gates Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the off-set nature of Third Street makes it more difficult to travel through this <br /> intersection; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS previous attempts to realign Third Street to make a 90 degree intersection have <br /> been determined to be unfeasible. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River, <br />Minnesota: <br /> <br />MSA Consulting Engineers is hereby authorized to perform an all-way stop sign study at <br />the intersection of Third Street and Gates Avenue and report the results to the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 7th day of April, 1997. <br /> <br />John l~ietz, Vice lCIay'br <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />" ~ . a ' --ay, City Cl~r-k <br /> <br />230/367-0314.apr <br /> <br /> <br />
