<br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING <br />TOWN OF ELK RIVER <br />March 9, 1926 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Annual meeting of the Town of Elk River held at Courthouse. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Clerk, after which Fred Sachs was chosen Moderator. <br /> <br />Annual report of Treasurer was then read in full, after which said report was approved as read. <br /> <br />The business of appropriations was next taken up, and on motion the following amounts were voted <br />to be raised: <br /> <br />Revenue Fund $400.00 <br />Road & Bridge Fund $1500.00 <br />Ditch Fund $900.00 <br />Poor Fund None <br /> <br />After a discussion of general business, the meeting was closed, and the polls declared open by the <br />Moderator. <br /> <br />At four o’clock P.M. the polls were declared closed, after which the ballots were counted. There <br />were 19 ballots cast. <br /> <br />B.A. Gray, receiving 18 votes, was declared elected Supervisor for 3 yrs. <br />F.E. Sellon, receiving 19 votes, was declared elected Clerk for one yr. <br />E.G. Palmer, receiving 18 votes, was declared elected Treasurer for one yr. <br />Gene Dickey, receiving one vote, was declared elected Justice of Peace for two yrs. <br />C.F. Marcal, receiving 19 votes, was declared elected Constable for two yrs. <br /> <br />\[No note re: adjournment.\] <br /> <br />F.E. Sellon <br />Clerk <br /> <br />
