<br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING <br />TOWN OF ELK RIVER <br />March 13, 1917 <br /> <br /> <br />Annual Town Meeting was held in Sheriff’s office, Courthouse, Village of Elk River. <br /> <br />Judges present: J.E. Bloomdahl <br /> Chas. Schwanbick <br /> <br />Substitute: Carl Engstrom <br />Clerk: Harry A. Hall <br />Moderator: Fred Sacks <br /> <br />Polls were opened at 9 A.M. <br /> <br />At 2 o’clock P.M. buisness \[sic\] meeting was held. Report of E.G. Palmer, Tres., was read, approved <br />and accepted. <br /> <br />The estimate of the Board of Audit of following sums was voted on and carried: <br /> <br />Road & Bridge \[Fund\] $2000.00 <br />Poor Fund 200.00 <br />Revenue Fund 300.00 <br /> <br />On motion the Town Board was instructed to insist on a verified account, itemized stating where <br />and what each bill is for, before allowing same. There being no further buisness \[sic\] meeting was <br />closed. <br /> <br />At 5 P.M. pooles \[sic\] were closed and votes counted. 41 votes being cast in all. <br /> <br />Super. 3 yrs. 41 votes for Chas. Schwanbick. He was declared elected. <br />Super. 1 yr. 24 votes for Chas. Hinz. He was declared elected. <br />Clerk 1 yr. 41 votes for Fay. Putnam. He was declared elected. <br />Treas. 1 yr. 41 votes for E.G. Palmer. He was declared elected. <br />Justice \[of the\] Peace 41 votes for Gene Dickey. He was declared elected. <br />Constable 41 votes for Carl Engstrom. He was declared elected. <br />Assor. 41 votes for E.W.Bernard. He was declared elected. <br /> <br />Harry A.
