<br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING <br />TOWN OF ELK RIVER <br />March 10, 1914 <br /> <br /> <br />Town Board met in Town Clerk’s office at Courthouse <br /> <br />This being the date of the Annual Town Meeting, Fred Sacks was on motion elected as Moderator. <br />At 9 o’clock the polls were declared open and the tally list was ready for names. <br /> <br />Business Meeting held at 2 o’clock P.M. <br /> <br />Report of Town Clerk read and approved. <br /> <br />On motion the following amounts were voted to be raised for the ensuing year: <br /> <br />Road & Bridge Fund $1600.00 <br />Revenue Fund 300.00 <br />Poor Fund 200.00 <br /> \[Total:\] $2100.00 <br /> <br />Report of Treasurer read and and \[sic\] on motion was approved. <br /> <br />On motion the business meeting was declared closed and the polls opened. <br /> <br />At 5 o’clock the polls were closed and tickets counted. <br /> <br />It was found that W.A. Frye having received 49 of the 68 votes cast was declared elected Supervisor. <br />F.W. Nickerson having received 68 votes was declared elected Town Clerk. <br />E.G. Palmer having rec’d 68 votes was declared elected Treasurer. <br />Gust Moritz receiving 68 votes was declared elected Constable. <br />Fred Specht receiving 68 votes was declared elected Justice of Peace. <br /> <br />F.W.
