<br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING <br />TOWN OF ELK RIVER <br />March 12, 1912 <br /> <br /> <br />th <br />Business meeting on March 12, 1912, called to order by Moderator Fred Sachs. <br /> <br />Present: Town Board – W.A. Frye, Chairman; Sam Glidden and Gust Sund, Supervisors; <br />F.W. Nickerson, Town Clerk; A.W. Tourtillotte, Treas. <br /> <br />Treasurer’s report read, approved and accepted. <br />Town Clerk’s report read, approved and accepted. <br /> <br />On motion twelve hundred dollars ($1200) was raised for Road & Bridge Fund for year 1912. <br />On motion three hundred dollars ($300) was raised for Town Revenue Fund for year 1912. <br />On motion salary for Town Board was fixed at $2.00 per day for 1912. <br /> <br />Business meeting called to order at 2:00 P.M. <br />The polls were opened at 9 o’clock. <br /> <br />Judges of Election – W.A. Frye <br /> Gust Sunday <br />Clerk of Election – F.W. Nickerson <br />Moderator – Fred Sachs <br /> <br />th <br />Official oaths of above subscribed & sworn to this 12 day of March 1912 by Chas. E. Swanson, <br />Co. Auditor. <br /> <br />For the purpose of electing one Supervisor for a term of three years, one Town Clerk, one <br />Treasurer, two Justice of Peace, two Constables. <br /> <br />At 4 P.M. the polls were declared closed. <br /> <br />Sam Glidden receiving 15 votes for Supervisor was declared elected. <br />F.W. Nickerson receiving 15 votes for Town Clerk was declared elected. <br />A.W. Tourtillotte receiving 15 votes for Town Treasurer was declared elected. <br />A.E. Peckham and Wm. Russell each receiving 15 votes were declared elected.* <br />Fred Sachs and Gust Moritz each receiving 15 votes were declared elected.* <br /> <br />Attest: F.W.
