<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 17, 1907 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />At a special meeting of the Village Council held at the furniture store of R.E. Dare, the following- <br />named members were present: <br /> <br />Present: R.E. Dare, President; S.M. Crockett and Justus de Booy, Trustees; H.C. Hastings, <br />Village Recorder. <br /> <br />The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br /> <br />The Village Treasurer’s report for the current year was presented, read and compared with the Board <br />of Auditors’ report and found to be all right, and orders that have been paid were cancelled and the <br />Treasurer’s report accepted and filed. <br /> <br />On motion the following bills were allowed: <br /> <br />Davis Bros., groceries furnished \[to\] Gaftave family, $15.25 <br />Davis Bros., groceries furnished \[to\] Hood family, $22.22 <br />C.S. Wheaton, legal services, $10.00 <br />Dr. G.E. Page, fumigating 2 families, $10.00 <br />Best Light Co., fire burners for street lamps, $9.00 <br />Standard Oil Co., gasoline, $3.30 <br />Geo. Youso, drayage, $.75 <br />Justus de Booy, paid for work on fire engine, $3.50 <br />Pioneer Press Co., blanks for Justice of the Peace, $3.00 <br />N.D. Trumbull, work on sidewalks (repg.), $2.00 <br />Elk River Lumber Co., lumber, $8.42 <br />W.B. Eaton, lighting and care \[of\] street lamps \[for\] month of Dec. 1906, $10.00 <br />W.B. Eaton, services as dog killer during recent mad dog scare, $10.00 <br />S.M. Crockett, wood as per bill, $1.00 <br />H.C. Hastings, services as Recorder, $35.00 <br /> <br />rd <br />Communication from the Elk River Businessmen’s Association, date Dec. 3, 1906, was read and <br />the Recorder was instructed to communicate with the Town Board of Supervisors of Otsego in <br />regard to the matter mentioned. <br /> <br />Adjourned. <br /> <br />H.C.
