<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />October 4, 1906 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />At a special meeting of the Common Council of the Village of Elk River held at R.E. Dare’s <br />furniture store, the following-named members were present: <br /> <br />Present: R.E. Dare, President; S.M. Crockett, Trustee; H.C. Hastings, Village Recorder. <br /> <br />On motion it was voted that the Council employ W.B. Eaton to care for and light seven (7) street <br />lamps at $10.00 per month till some other arraingment \[sic\] is made for lighting the streets. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed: <br /> <br />C.D. Lashbrook, Judge of Election at primary election, $5.25 <br />F.D. Waterman, Judge of Election at primary election, $5.25 <br />W.F. Chadbourne, Judge of Election at primary election, $5.25 <br />H.D. Hastings, Clerk of Election at primary election, $5.25 <br />N.D. Trumbull, Peace Officer of Election at primary election, $3.00 <br />Leo Lighting Co., globes and mantles for street lamps, $4.90 <br />John Bither, work on fire engine, $1.00 <br /> <br />Adjourned. <br /> <br />H.C.
