<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />June 16, 1906 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />At a special meeting of the Common Council, the following-named were present. The meeting was <br />held at the store of R.E. Dare. <br /> <br />Present: R.E. Dare, President; S.M. Crockett and W.P. Rhoda, Trustees; H.C. Hastings, <br />Village Recorder. <br /> <br />On motion of W.P. Rhoda and seconded by S.M. Crockett, it was voted that in view of their being a <br />vacancy in the office of Justice of the Peace for the Village, that H.C. Hastings be appointed to fill <br />such vacancy and that he give a bond in the sum of $500, and the Prest. \[President\] declaired \[sic\] <br />him appointed to fill the vacancy in the said office. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 52, being an ordinance to change the established grade on Depot Street from Oak <br />Street to Hope Street, was adopted by a vote of the Council and signed by the President and <br />Recorder. <br /> <br />Adjourned. <br /> <br />Attest.: H.C.
