<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />June 30, 1906 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />At a special meeting of the Village Council held at the store of R.E. Dare, the following-named were <br />present: <br /> <br />Present: R.E. Dare, President; S.M. Crockett and W.P. Rhoda, Trustees; H.C. Hastings, <br />Village Recorder. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed: <br /> <br />Frank S. Frye, work on streets, etc., $59.33 <br />John Bitterhon, piping for fence on approach to bridge, $24.89 <br />Nick Mendenhall, lighting street lamps, $2.50 <br />M.C. Blanchett, \[no detail given\], $2.40 <br />J.L.A. Nickerson, Assessor \[for\] 29 days, $58.00 <br />R.E. Dare, 2 days on Village Bd. of Record, $4.00 <br />H.C. Hastings, 2 days on Village Bd. of Record, $4.00 <br /> <br />On motion of S.M. Crockett and seconded by H.C. Hastings, it was voted to put in a city scale and <br />that a committee of one be appointed by the President to purchase a scale, and S.M. Crockett was <br />appointed for such committee. <br /> <br />On motion it was voted that F.S. Frye by authorized to purchase for the Village what may be needed <br />for present use of 8 inches galvinized \[sic\] iron drain pipe. <br /> <br />Adjourned. <br /> <br />Attest.: H.C.
